One thing to consider with that setup is shifting to where the weight is. Too much on front, it'll move more to the front. If the pouches you buy have PALS webbing (pretty much what MOLLE is, MOLLE is the system, PALS is the attachment points, aka. all the horizontal pieces of 1" webbing) on both sides of the pouches, you can build on top of each other, if not............. nope.
BTW, I've found black zip ties to be much more entertaining and flexible (usewise) than MALICE clips or the attachment means MOLLE pouches provide. Meaning, with using zipties, I can angle my pouches for better access to the contents, where going with MALICE or MOLLE, you are pretty much stuck dealing with the vertical plane.
