That's why you always test you're eye wear before you use it, regardless of whatever rating is stamped on it.
That's why I love the CSA.
Canada's seemingly anal retentive safety laws make sure that any "safety glasses" you buy are shatter prove and more than sufficient to protect your face.
Most Paintball/ski mask type goggles aren't checked out by the CSA. Because they aren't considered "safety eyewear" You really have to be careful with what you buy.
The first pair I bought at walmart came with a sticker:
"This lense is not rated for repeated impact, after a single impact to the lenses it should be replaced with... blah blah"
And I'm supposed to trust my eyes to that?
Balistic rated safety glasses, all the way.
And at 10 bucks a pair you have NO EXCUSE.
