MP5 Hopup issue
I'm at a loss here so perhaps some of you guys may know how I can fix this issue. Anyway starting from the beginning, my friend's TM MP5 has been having a feeding issue where full TM low cap mags would jam up. If ~5 rounds are removed from the mag the gun feeds just fine but guessing how much ammo has been loaded in between games can be difficult.
Anyway after much frustration, I've isolated the issue down to the MP5 hopup rubber. I properly put the hopup onto the inner barrel and while inserting the two into the MP5 hopup mech, the rubber seems to deform. So much so that the lips that make contact with the nozzle get in the way with the BB. As shown in a picture attached you can see that BB has actually pushed a bit of the hopup lip into the barrel and the air from the mechbox does not have enough power to push the BB through.
My question is, how the heck am I suppose to put the TM hopup mechanism back together without running into this hopup lip problem? Unfortunately I only have Guarder black rubber hopup sleeves to work with, if you think that Guarder is at fault, I can steal a stock TM hopup from one of my other guns.
Any ideas?
