You'll get lower than expected FPS if you use a weaker spring. You need a powerful spring blow the ventilated piston heads o-ring wide open to create a proper seal against the cylinder walls.

You can't just use a bore up cylinder kit to increase velocity. That's not its pupose. It's to increase air volume.
