Your wiring is likely shorted in the buffer tube, just at the body/buffer joint or at the tube bolt/washer. It happened to me once with a Star crane stock. It doesn't take much of a burr or sharp edge on metal to slice right through silicone insulation.

Take the stock tube off and inspect the wiring very carefully. bend it sharply every 1/4 inch or so and look for any cuts, nicks or blackened or melted insulation. It should be real easy to find the problem area.
