Opening a mechbox isn't that bad, you just need to really know what your doing. First time I opened a mechbox was last weekend at a gun fix day, had Foxtail (Ottawa area M4/16 upgrade expert), Hazard_SFD (team mate, did all the work on his G36c on his own so he knows what to do), and Greylocks (AK upgrade expert, AK and G36 are both ver.3 so his expertise was great) right there to guide me through it. I don't recommend doing it on your own first time unless you have a high level of mechanical proficiency as well as a lot of time and a LOT of patience.
