The manual gives you pictures on how to do it.

I don't think you should have to completely disassemble the bolt like I'm doing in order to rotate the knob...
The only tool you should require to do it is a small allen key that Tanaka was thoughtful enough to have included it.

All you're doing is removing the bolt lever from the gun. The manual shows how to do this as well... just open the bolt, as if you were going to chamber a round - then inside the trigger guard, there's a hidden switch - push it, and it will release the bolt from the receiver. On the underside of the bolt, is a view port where you'll see the PCS knob. Turn it clockwise (towards the nozzle) and it reduces FPS. Turn it counter-clockwise (towards the shooter) and it opens up the valve to increase velocity.
The manual shows a picture that I believe indicates not to open the valve beyond the viewing window.

I haven't gone as far as to doing a complete takedown of the gun, but the manual also shows what I believe is a diagram on how to adjust the trigger pull. I don't read Japanese, so I'll have to get one of my friends to translate it for me.
