I started on my CA M249 MkII skirting right at the event fps limit: 400fps - give or take... My problem turned out that by midday I'd burned out my motor (from bad wiring on my part) and so I switched to a backup Para M249 shooting about 350fps (that actually performed better, except for some feeding issues) so you may notice in the later footage I'm on a "shortbarrel". There was rain late in the day on Saturday so I didn't capture footage of that (stowed the camera) and I didn't film any of the night action since my camera doesn't do low light well. But regardless this footage is in chronological order over the weekend - if with large gaps - so that explains the increasing chaotic state of the town toward the end of the video.

The gunshots (blanks) and explosions were indeed something. What I didn't get on tape much were the rpg's being fired, car fires, down'd helo, and more. There were technicals driving around with MG mounts on top firing blanks (I captured some vid of them - we traded abit of fire with one at edge of town - but not in this editted footage I posted online). The entire facility is under the watch of controllers via hidden cameras and a control tower embedded in a faux water-tower (this is an actual Army training MOUT site at Ft Knox) and they have complete control over a wide range of pyrotechnics. They are skilled at and clearly enjoy setting them off in such a way to add greatly to your confusion... which is great!

The company (Best Of USA Marketing) that puts on the Irene events releases a DVD of the action each year. It usually goes on sale late winter (so look in the Feb/March timeframe). They collect and integrate into the professionally shot footage film drawn from players' helmet cams.
