Most accurate over the farthest distance.

Before I begin, I'd like to clarify that this is for target shooting, not competing or playing, so speed, size, weight etc are NOT factors. I realise that there are WAY more appropriate rifles available for target shooting, but I also want to leave the door open for actually playing airsoft with people in the future with this rifle. That wouldnt even be an option with another type of propulsion.

I'm looking for a springer that is of the absolute best accuracy possible. Accuracy is way more important than power or range, though range is a close second.

I'm quite mechanically inclined, so I certainly dont mind doing mods or upgrades (seems like certain barrel changes might make a good difference), but I'm looking for suggestions on a core rifle to start with.

My main criteria are: less than $300 for the main rifle (I dont mind slowly spending more over time for parts), springer, and conventional rifle design. I dont want anything too fancy (M21 style I suppose...classic basic sniper rifle).
