about the only time i've ever washed mine was to clean the potato smell off the burlap. but that was prior to assemby.
best solution IMHO wait for a good frost to come and leave your suit out side all night
i dont know why but it took all the potato smell out of mine and left it smelling pretty neutral. it had been sitting in the sun all day prior to that.
