Hey thanks dude.

I first started off ordering material from the states, but after it was costing me way too much in broker fees, I started looking around for places here in Canada.

I found a few actually:

J Ennis Fabrics
Texfast
Consoltex


As for making stuff, you just have to be creative and do a lot of research and get a feel for what's out there, and do your best to keep away from copying other peoples' designs - which is difficult to do because you're going to run into some similarities, like shapes and features. If you're going to venture into gear making, one of the easiest ways to do it is to just keep it simple. If you try to come up with the l337 u83r b35t gear in t3h world, you'll spend more time thinking about it than actually putting out product.
