The G3-SG1 (SAR Taktik Rifle) just came out, so it's hard to say it's better and more durable.
With a full metal AEG, your exterior should be quite durable with either gun, and internal, I would assume the new SG1 would have a slightly improved design. (Like 7mm bushings like their new armalite releases)
