It is a TM AK-47 I'm trying to fit it on, when I first tried it was about 2mm high when it was as far in as it went and filing down the rail things a bit you see in the first pic managed to drop it about 0.5mm but I kept at it and it didnt drop anymore. I havnt actually tried removing the motor housing but I wiggle all the wires and none of them are pinched anywhere, they all move freely.
Just my luck that I get a flakey reciever...
*Update*
The circle bit (damn I hate not knowing the technical terms...) just to the rear of the cylinder in
this pic, the gouge on the inside of the reciever it moves in was far too small and so that one bit held up the entire mechbox. I have it partially reassembled now and it fires on semi and auto with no misfeeds so I'm guessing everything is lined up properly. The selector arm thing kept falling off so I finally said "screw it, test fit without it on!" and then it worked and I realized that was the problem. Going to put the rest of the top reciever on and the stock and call her done (as done as it can be until I get the wood kit). Thanks for the help.
Back to carving interesting shapes out of pink foam...I love my university program :-D
