I set it as high as possible, but not so high that you have problems seating the magazine in the magwell.
Typically, I adjust the head so that it's as close to being flush with the surface of the magazine without going past.
Fill the mag with some gas to check the final height of the striking surface. When there's gas in the mag, it may cause the striking surface to stick out further than intended.
You may need to inspect the valve's height every couple of mags shot off. As the valve's o-rings settle in the head may begin to extend past the original setting of the height.

When you use a high flow valve, more gas is allowed to be released, and as the pressure rises, so does the stress on some of the internals. The rocket/floating valve is one of the weakest parts as it's plastic.
There will also be a bit more stress on all the moving parts of the gun, but it can typically take it for a long period of time.
Sure, you could be gentle on your gun and baby it... but it's not as much fun, is it? 8)
