thanks, i read your sticky, it answered alot of my questions. but i have a few more.
1) How do i know when my hopup is properly set, and how?
You know by doing shooting tests, those are described in other threads. You need to read other stickies.
2) Is the spring the first thing most people upgrade? And which % spring do i use? I would like to have the max spring i can use on all the fields. (from what i seen, most people allow up to 450 fps)
You need to read more, 400fps is a max almost anywhere, and a max is not like a goal to reach, it's a LIMIT for safety reasons. As was said in the thread, all you need is a spring and metal bushings. The rest is details.
3) Whats the best/Cheapest way to improve the accuracy?
Adjusting your hopup properly, and learning to shoot.
My goal is to make a Mid range rifle, (Reliable and accurate at close range) as well as the ability to pick people off with semi auto at a distance)
so far, my iron sight is off, and i think my rounds seem to favour shooting a bit to the left.
I read some of the stickys, but i dont completely understand them, and i would like to understand what the parts do, and what the numbers mean before upgrading/buying parts for my rifle.
Any Suggestions?
Yes, go to a game, see how the guns work, ask questions in person, do immediate tests of what you learn. If you read it all, it's time for you to go try stuff.
