Sorry Man- but you should really try to get your hands on each and handle them, and if possible fire them. Thant's the only way you will know if you can notice the difference. Dave's has a KJW P226 (that's where I bought mine ) and I handled it and fired it (super nice guys there BTW).

For me, and yes it is personal, the feel and heft of metal won hands down. Yes you could by a TM and upgrade it with metal parts- it would most likely be a "better" gun at a higher price. Again, this is a personal choice on what represents the best value for each person.

For me, as my pistol will definitely be my least used weapon, I was comfortable with the price vs. cost balance. Just for perspective, I have ordered a Systema M4A1 PTW kit which I will build and use as my primary weapon. I know there is an example where the cost was quite high, and I could have gone with a TM M4A1 and fully upgraded it with metal and upgrade parts, and when I would be all said and done with accessories etc, I would still be at half the cost. For me, the Systema was the best value.
