Its funny, you really see the experience or age gap with the TM CA debate. For those of us around for Ver 1 and 2 CA M16 siries, we remember the horrors of having a DOA gun from the factory, and just being out cash, or having the thing crap out on you in the middle of a game. I beleive this was also true of the CA MP5 siries, however I can't comment on them.

The newer gen CA guns (Ever since Armalite took over the QC of the Armalite line) are much more reliable, and as such better value. This early experience with CA m4s however has scarred a lot of users, who now won't bother with anything but a TM, as we know they will fire, and they will always fire. I know I don't mind paying a bit more for an AEG if I know it has years of excellent service behind it, rather than risking $600+ on a brand that historically, has been shit.

Edit - It should also be noted that "back in the day" was not all that long ago...
