Students sling projectiles at each other all the time. Before airsoft, it was slingshots, spitballs and even thrown rocks. The only reason this incedent is really concerning is that an airsoft gun was involved. The connotations of using an ASG are worrisome, but it probably just boils down to dumbass kids wanting to fling stuff at each other. I'm fairly certain that many members of this forum once threw a rock or shot a friend with some sort of projectile device outside of a pball field.
The problem is generally careless teens not thinking about the secondary effects of their actions. Just like the dumb twats who bomb pedestrians/cyclists with rocks or bags of milk from bridges and overpasses.
At least we don't have kids bringing a sack of real guns to class and gunning people down according to a list.
