hehe.. just as I was gonna ask on the forums you beat me to it..
actually on my M4 I was about to do the same, I bought a M4 recently from some dude and it has a homemade battery pack on it. the leads and everything are soldered on and plastic shrink coated. I think they arn't regular AA's so to speak their like ... actually wait till i ask one of my electric inclined friends before I can tell you for sure. I think its quite possible just need tools like soldering iron and shrink plastic..
