Yeah, I wouldn't try to get across the border nowadays with something that even remotely
looks like a firearm. Last summer, I came back from a trip to San Diego and had my car RAPED at the border for no apparent reason. No airsoft, no drugs, no tobacco, no booze... they just felt like holding us up after a long ass redeye flight across the country. (We flew out of the Bangor airport, in case you were wondering).
Them border patrol guys don't mess around. I wouldn't even THINK about it.
