Well thats two positives for mid-terms, thanks Spitfire. Also noteworthy in light of your post here is that also mentioned in that link from Arnies, information received by one of the users from VFC:

1. Sorry to let you know that Barrett M82A1 will be ready in the end of September.
2. General speaking, we suggest to use Green Gas (12kg) and the 0.7g 8mm aluminum ball to make the outstanding impression.
3. Before every Barrett sending out, we had strictly quality test. However to avoid some customer to face the problems of leaking. (mostly about o-ring) We change the O-ring vender. In addition, next lot of Barrett M82A1 will make the improvement on the parts/system combination.
Thank you very much.

I wonder if the original versions were simply designed with higher weight shots than airsoft .34 plastic rounds could handle.
So, just to confirm again guys with the mid-term (I'm still on the fence here...)
- 1 happy user in the UK using 134a (ammo not specified)
- Spitfire is happy using .34gram 8mm bbs and hits out to !!600feet!!! please confirm that, thats insane!!! thats 4 times farther than an average AEG and certainly would justify the purchase.
- Deathcom4 is generally happy. What ammos, what gas, what ranges are you hitting?
Any other users have notes, good or bad? Does the hop-up still fling wild shots at all? Leaky tank?
Thanks guys.
