I switched from propane to green gas and found better seal longevity and less black gunk when cleaning. Although propane is cheaper I don't find I go through too much green gas to worry about it. If it were primary mags that'd be a different story. So if your pistol is just your secondary weapon then I suggest green gas. I bought three cans back in 2013 and they just ran dry.

I know a few guys who ran TM pistols on propane and they ran for over ten years, so the potential is there. Plus there are hella upgrade parts available for them.
