Red threadlocker is only a huge pain in the ass if the screws are shit like WE ones or if its on an AR barrel nut.

This. Use the correct bit with a solid amount of torque and it may come loose. Just make sure you don't bend or crack the gun. If that doesn't work, touch the tip of a soldering iron to the screw head for a few seconds. It shouldn't take much, so do it in ten second intervals if it doesn't release the first time. If it is indeed lock-tighted beyond strength release, then heat is your only friend.
