Over the years playing with AEPs, I had only one piston break, and it was the Nine ball. Also, you might want to look at the PDI piston head and cylinder, they are almost always in stock and cheaper:

If you order from PDI, you might as well get your inner barrel there. I have the stainless 6.05 in one of my G18c and its amazing. Prices are similar, but again, they are easier to obtain. I also have a MP7 length PDI Raven inner barrel that I used for a while in a G18c and it worked surprisingly well for such a cheap barrel.

I'm assuming theres no compatibility issues with the stock/nine ball pistons + cylinder head and the PDI cylinder + piston head?
