The way it was described in the email, my understanding is that the website was set up as a catalogue for dealers of their products, not as a consumer-grade wholesale website.
I was easily able to log in with my regular email and see all of their wholesale prices. Plus the fact that the front page is designed like any other retail website; a scrolling lightbox with the newest products, and a full cart/checkout system, I was easily confused into thinking it was just another HK website I could order gear from.
