If you are playing indoors with NV, you need to keep your dominant eye in normal vision. If you lose your NV operabliity, or move into an area with normal light, you need to be able to aim your gun in a normal fashion. If you use that eye with NV, and have to transition, it ain't gonna happen. Your vision is screwed, and your sights are unusable.

But if you use a laser, no need for that, you have both options. However, a laser is a beacon for anyone else with NV, and if undisciplined with use, is a huge tactical liability.

Truly, you need both.
