Thanks for the thoughtful post, and it's a really good point. My thoughts on the matter are pretty similar, especially from talking to my American friends (when I tell them I play airsoft, for example, the equate it with something their little brother might pick up at Walmart and shoot off in their backyard with some friends in sunglasses).
