The most obvious solution to this would be for the manufacturer to include a replacement sleeve or update their model to fit snug in the WE ring. It's not like there is a lot of variance from one gun to the other, so I don't know how they can have messed this...

Both of theses issues combined, I feel like the machining did not factor the thermal expansion of the steel barstock after a few units made, and you got one of the last from the bar (when the bar was really hot, due to bad/insufficient cooling maybe), and it shrink when cooling off...
I have seen up to 0.015" per inch of diameter change...
However theses don't seem to be fully CNC from a barstock, more like cast.
In that case, they would have simply fudged the calculations... there is always a lot of shrinking when casting parts.
