Haven't seen many of those with the U.S. guys I know or have worked with, but I know for a fact pretty much ALL AN/PVS-504 and 504B in the CF were issued with those. It's also what i was given when I needed something to mount the 14 I was loaned by the Americans in the Alberta.
They then refused to take it back from me -____-
I'll get pics of the whole CF mounting system tomorrow if anyone wants them, its been on my helmet for the past 3 years and now resides in my trunk
