Longer barrel have very little to do with accuracy. You need better barrel, not longer barrel.
If your hop-up is really not working (how did you find it out? what are the symptoms? ) that should be taken care of, or you will have very bad range. There are many things you can try before replacing the hop-up chamber, as most hop-up problems are due to wrong installation, or the bucking/rubber, rather than the hop-up chamber. Replacing the hop-up chamber could lead to new problems in some cases and should only be done when necessary.
All of us learn from trials and errors, but I think you need a little bit more of reading and research before trying to upgrade your gun.
