Not sure if your wanting hearing protection too but for coms i love throat mic's. For a cpl reasons one being no extra crap on my head and ears (tho im considering some sordins for the smplified hearing one i get a helmet)
The other being that even a whisper brodcasts well so you can communicate without letting the enemy know where you are.

I used one that armyissue sold back in the day. It was some cheapo stuff. It was small and light but only had the finger ptt.
The one i just grabbed to go with my new puxing 888 is great so far. It doesnt pic up s really quiet whisper but still picks up very low talking and loud whisper if it is positiond well on the neck.
Prety cheap comes with a built in ptt and an additional finger ptt (handy when sniping as i can wear it like a ring so i dont have to movs my arm to broadcast.
Sound quality is good. It seems sturdy and held up fine in light rain

The finger ptt plugs into the plug near the large ptt and had a long wire so you can run it down a sleve or whatever.
Its available with most popular plugs that go into the other plug further from the large ptt (kenwood/puxing moto ect.)
