How doesn't it make sense. If your going to keep it stock then go G&G. If your going to upgrade the internals then go TM. Plan and simple.
Both work well stock, however TMs are the general base platform for most upgraded P90s.
You throw reliability out the window as soon as you open up the gearbox. If you leave it untouched till something breaks (if it does) then you will almost every time never run into a problem (unless you overwork the gun ie. use 11.1V lips, no trigger discipline, etc.)
If it works perfectly fine don't change it. If you want to make changes you only make the chances of a malfunction higher. That has been the case for every single player I have read, heard, seen or known.
