Yes, but you can also simply cut the feed tube on the new magwell flush with the top surface.
The JG hop-up is superior in design, but you have to remove the barrel front section to take the mechbox out.
It's exactly the same as upgrading to a one-piece hopup on an M4 VS the two parts design of Marui.
The nozzle is exactly the same lenght.
