I totally agree with you in that it should have a real steel designed folding stock assembly, but GHK is only responsible for the internals. They simply took LCT kits for AEGs, redesigned their blowback system and dropped it in. They used to do the same with DBoys AEG kits with their previous blowback system.
From what I've read though, with the parts, you can actually mount a real steel underfolder kit on the GHK model since the LCT dimensions are supposedly identical to the real steel, but it might be more work than necessary since the LCT folding stock is quite good for an airsoft gun.
