Why do people want to upgrade things the first thing they do? A spring change is really all you need, don't touch anything else. Preventative maintenance is one thing, but upgrading for the sake of upgrading is a bad idea. Now granted I am a tinkerer at heart (but I'm also mechanically inclined and probably could have been a MechE or something).
Upgrading just means you're introducing unreliability into your system.... It's like cars, you can't really upgrade without losing reliability.
