why don't you just put in a lipo-sized buffer tube?

e.g. with a king arms lipo buffer tube I can easily fit a 11.1v 1100mah 15C lipo.

alternatively, this lipo fits just about anywhere (even in regular crane stocks) and lasts all day.

In general, I would recommend the 7.4 lipo over the 11.1. ROF and trigger response are as good, but less wear on trigger contacts. Unless you install a mosfet... in which case use whatever you want.
