You should check on classic airsoft if anyone has done what you want to do. ASC has a limited number of members who actually know about air systems. But like dynamo said, I wouldn't be able to advise unless I could see it all in person and observe how it operates.
One thing I like about the DG's I have is all the stainless steel. Swapping to a heavier spring makes things more fun.
