I hear the hammer spring just wears out the gun faster, would probably advise against it. One thing you may want to look into is finding a replacement trigger from a real HK pistol as the triggers on these things are known to break. Had one happen to me just this week. Also, RA tech sells a steel threaded outer barrel for the P10 which I hear is interchangeable with the outer barrel of your USPC. Prime also used to sell steel slides for the USPC, but no longer =(. I'd sell my left kidney to get one.
