What side was the springs coming off from? The metal housing or the plastic blowback chamber? I would only modify the one that is giving you problems. The superglue method is actually pretty good for saving time if you take the gun apart a lot for tinkering and dont give a shit if you cant remove the springs. I've bought a KSC P226 like that and it saved me butt loads of time when I was tinkering with it.
