If anything, I'd see about making reinforced bolt catches, and reinforcing the dust cover device. Both of those items fail pretty regularly. I'm not entirely sure if that is feasible, but I know that both of those parts fail and it would be nice if they would actually work longer than they do.

Just get a real dust cover for 5-15$, problem solved! But a solid bolt catch would make my year.
