I would guess he's not running a fuse, stock fuses are usually like 5-10A, I used to put 20A fuses in and you still can't melt trigger contacts with that.
After my first year of gunsmithing, I realized you don't need fuses, it's pretty rare for anything to actually go wrong with the wiring in an AEG. The one exception is running LiPo. Always use a fuse when runnign LiPo without an SW-COMP
