For a sidearm...or PDW/secondary...got to go gas. Just too much fun to do otherwise.
For an MP7....gas, hands down. The electric MP7 can be made to shoot decently/accurately/etc...but as mentioned, PITA to work on, parts are not cheap, and you're left with the ho-hum AEG sound/feel/action.
On the other hand...grab a gas MP7 and snap off some rapid shots and everything's good.
Personally...I just couldn't get used to the grip angle of the MP7...just felt weird to me.
