If you know what you're doing deans plugs are fine to solder to. I had to do it at work all the time when I worked at a hobby shop, so I got good quick.
I don't use the xt60 connectors simply because nobody else does, and I have around 3 dozen lipos, so it would cost a LOT to do.
If you want bullet connector style plugs, you could also look into EC3.
