I've done some reasearch and it seems that the G&P mags are wider. ex:
Mag brand mid caps are 34.2mm along the length and 22.3mm across. The G&P are 23.4mm across. Although 1.10mm may not seem like alot its a significant tolerance difference.
Anyone else with calipers care to offer other info in this regard?
