the inner barrel floats in the outer on this gun, it's aligned and locked together by a bracket being tensioned by the recoil spring. There's not much rotational or side to side play in the barrel that could cause the leftward vector.
But I still believe this is not hopup related, as changing the hopup doesn't change the sideways vector.
