no... a stronger spring is like putting a bandaid on a broken leg, it doesnt really help and its got nothing to do with the problem, the problem is the excess friction...
if its truly just too tight to cycle, put some pummice, or if you dont have any, you can even use toothpaste (or any other type of paste/powdered abrasive), but you put it on the rails of the slide or wherever its tight, and work the slide untill its smooth, and make sure to clean it ALL out afterwards, its works like sandpaper to loosen up a tight fit, but if you dont get it all out it will KEEP wearing it out
*edit* also if the slide is rubbing on the dust cover on the bottom, you can sand out the inside wall of the frame with sandpaper to make it larger
