Didn't he actually say there's no recoil mechanism in that one, as opposed to the small 2inch one presented in intro?
Considering the relative light weight and length of the (apparently) ABS Canon, the air pressure released by the tank would definitely be enough to shake it up like it does, giving impression there's a recoil while there's actually none.
I might be wrong on that though, guesses?
