Vipertech uses the same forge upper and lower block of the 2008 Inokatsu M4 series.
Vipertech was contracted under Inokatsu to produce the upper and lower receivers for them. But Inokatsu found flaws and brought the attention to the CNC factory (Vipertech) because the customers were complaining about the flaws, but they refuse to correct them, therefore Inokatsu stop using them. Then Inokatsu went on to another trustworthy CNC factory, one of the largest in Taiwan to produce their newly designed and improved upper and lower receivers without previous flaws.
So, to answer your question, Vipertech is still using the old 2008 Inokatsu designed receivers and made no improvements on them.
Inokatsu has been improving their quality each year. This year 2011, they've remolded the upper receiver with more clean cut appearance! Hope that answers your question!
*The shell reflecting block next to the ejection port was too big, scale-wise was not correct for Inokatsu quality control (Vipertech refused to correct it and still to this day has not made any adjustments).
*above is just an example of the differences.
