Having a piece that's strong enough is great and all, and if I ever got a SCAR I'd buy a piece in a heartbeat, but it seems like that's only half the solution. With the force of impact in the SCAR, it's only a matter of time before the bolt breaks, or god forbid the lower receiver cracks in the back. I had a silicone pad on the plate and it still cracks. I can't see the bolt breaking as the bolt never touches anything. The recoil rod sends it back before it can. I cannot see the lower receiver cracking as it also doesn't take any of the stress from the bolt either. Unless you did the pvc mod, which most people have not.
