Thank you.

The Gearbox is uses a proprietary gear box shell but everything inside should be the same as a Version 2. Many people speculate that the internals are OEM by ARES since it uses a quick spring feature and a micro trigger switch just like an ARES gearbox. The hop up unit is proprietary but it seems really solid to me and functions well(just be sure the hop up is all the way off before you use the quick barrel swap feature). Hop up bucking wise, the guarder clear hop up bucking works best. I believe "Snoopy" on arnies has tried it and is getting amazing results with it. The stock gearbox shoots around 330-350 FPS. The motor is housed in a motor cage similar to the V3 gearboxes. From the looks of it, it looks to be a short motor and the connections are soldered and not motor wire clips.
Here's a brief vid on the internals:

As for externals, the mag release, bolt release, the hand guard, lower receiver, and stock are made of dupont polymer. The upper receiver is CNC 6061 alluminum and is painted (not anodized like Magpul PTS advertises....bummer). The selector switch is alluminum as well. From factory the ACR comes with a fixed stock with a rubberized buttpad for comfort. It also features an adjustable cheek well. I personally installed the adjustable folding stock on mine and is very solid with an integrated locking feature on the hinge meaning there is no hook or catch on the side of the receiver to lock the stock in place wen folded(fits with no modification...however some people have reported the opposite).
A couple things you will need to know:
- there are reports that the barrel assembly is wobbly when you remove it and put it back on and that the locking swivel needs to be rotated MORE each time to tighten the barrel. IF that happens you need to get shims for your ACR( i believe that they have fixed this problem though)
- The selector switch sometimes jams because the screw that tightens it to the gear cams have loosened. TO fix this you need to remove the gearbox and add some locktite on the screw to prevent from happenening in the near future
- The barrel thread is CW not CCW.
That is all. I think. Hope this helps.
